ragamuffintop challenge - week 1



though i'm getting to this a couple weeks late, a friend through text, video and pictures put forth a challenge. carlos wittaker over @ Ragamuffin Soul started the "ragamuffintop challenge" a couple weeks ago. he wanted to lose some extra weight and he wanted to get the ragamuffin community to join in with him. after my last meal at burger king i knew it was time for me to get my health life right. so, here i am...setting goals and getting ready to sweat.

this is carlos' week one video which started the challenge:



personally, i don't think that i am extremely overweight but i would like to shed some of the extra that has accumulated over the college years. i looked at a bmi (body mass index) chat to see what would be a good amount to loose over the next 16 weeks. check it out yourself:



20 pounds...i am setting a goal of 20 pounds over the next 16 weeks.

to get there, i plan on becoming much more active. i want to run everyday (a nike+ is on the way by my awesome sister ) or at least break a good sweat through physical activity. i'm cutting the junk foods from my daily intake (sorry chick-fil-a, you've always been good to me).

i hope that this is the start of a life change that will keep me around for a few extra years.

this should be an interesting 16 weeks.

Thought about diving in the RTC. Its crazy how many people are doing this.
